Review: Alpha-H Liquid Gold With Glycolic Acid

Assalamualaikum and hello my beautiful people!

So today I wanna share my thoughts on this Alpha-H Liquid Gold With Glycolic Acid. After so many great reviews, I decided to buy one. I have my BHA exfoliant, Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% Liquid Exfoliant but I feel like it's too harsh for everyday. So I wanted something lighter and I never try AHA exfoliant before, so yeah.

I have been using this since November I think? So what, it has been like... 2-3 months now?

Okay. Let's begin!

REVIEW

Of course I have story story about exfoliant stuff in my Skincare Basics post, you guys can check that out later. I did mentioned this product in my October-November 2016 favourites, you guys can check em out jugak. LOL.

I have been wanting to try this Liquid Gold for so looongggg since BeautyWithEmilyFox mentioned it in her video. So this Liquid Gold contains Glycolic Acid 5%. So what the hell is Glycolic Acid?

What is glycolic acid? The smallest alpha hydroxy acid, derived from sugar cane

What's it good for? Providing an even exofoliation, brightening skin, restoring healthy pH to skin, removing blackheads and fine lines, treating pigmentation , acne and other skin conditions

What are the risks? A percentage that is too high, used on skin that is not ready, can cause redness, irritation, 'frosting', pigmentation and thinned skin. Sun protection and proper knowledge is vital while using it.

Read more here.

Like I said in the intro, I have the Paula's Choice BHA Exfoliant but my skin cannot deal with it every night even though the bottle says you can use it every night. BHA exfoliant is used for, if you like need to deep clean your skin and more suitable for acne-prone skin. I do have acne-prone skin but it is not so bad.

I feel like this Liquid Gold is more suitable for everyday use but it did mentioned on the bottle that you can use it on each alternate evening, so I followed whatever they put there lah. Even though it is a 5% formula, it is still gentle for my skin. I don't have dry patches and my face just doesn't feel dry at all! I don't need to moisturize very well or use a sheet mask after, I just proceed with my usual routine and it works wonder! The next morning, my skin feels super nice like I don't have any imperfections at all. From my point of view, I feel like these chemical exfoliants and serums have the most important roles in my skincare routine. I can see my skin texture changes and it has been a lot better than before. So if you guys need to level up in your skincare routine, start with AHA/BHA exfoliant then try to invest on great serums, it doesn't have to be expensive. Even Nutox Serum Concentrate worked well (at least on my skin) but I actually stopped using it because I have found another great serum but that one I'm gonna share lain kali lah kan. Hoho.

This Liquid Gold is amazing, you can see immediate results. Your skin will look super glowy and healthy. I love it. But of course, you need to do some patch tests sebab there are few cases of purging. Some people purged when they're using AHA/BHA exfoliants. Alhamdulillah, both AHA/BHA works well on my skin.

How do I put this in my skincare routine? Usually for AHA/BHA exfoliant, from what I read on the Internet, you use them after toner, before serum/moisturizer. Oh hey, I will post my latest skincare routine... Haha taktau bila but just wait and see lah. Hahahha.

Oh some extra TMI stuff. I have few ingrown hairs kat ketiak and I used this Liquid Gold for few days and holy crap... No more ingrown hairs and my ketiak is like very the soft auisdjkasdlkasjdlajsdakasdjhaskjhdasldj. So yeah. Hahahaha. I believe you can use this anywhere on your body yang ada ingrown hair jugak or maybe razor bumps ke apa ke yang pelik-pelik kan. Hahahahhahah

I really wanted to try the Pixi Glow Tonic, that one pon Glycolic Acid so I am curious if it works just the same or better ke kan. Weeeee.

Pros:
Quick fix for skin
Doesn't dry up my skin
Can use anywhere on your body if you have razor bumps, ingrown hair and whatnot

Cons:
Pricey as fxck

Final thoughts: I loooooooove this. If ada lagi set ke apa ke I'm gonna get em because it's way more cheaper than beli sebotol nih or if I'm gonna repurchase it, I'm just gonna buy the 200ml because it's WAAAAYYYYY cheaper than buying the 100ml bottle. Hahh. Worth every penny, I can see my skin has improved, it's not super red like it used to be. I mean still ada redness tapi tak teruk macam dulu lah. Ahhh I love it!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend it!
