Review: Olay ProX Microdermabrasion Plus Advanced Cleansing System

Assalamualaikum and hi guyssssss!

Oh my god, I was supposed to start writing early March but I've been so busy. First week of March I actually went to kursus kahwin, second week of March was my eldest brother's wedding reception and the third week, well I spent most of my time playing The Sims 4. Holy crap that game is like a freakin drug. I mean, I am obsessed/addicted to it. Well, can't blame me. It's too damn good. Well anyway, I promised a review every month. (said this every month but not progressing pah) Hahaha so here I am. So I did mention about this cleansing device on my post here: Review: Nutox Serum Concentrate, and at that time I just got em. Yea I got em end of December 2014 and now it is end of March so I have been using them for 3 months now. (Dang I should replace the brush head ASAP pffft)

Okay so I know some of you will see this Olay cleansing system at your pharmacy and whatnot, well lemme tell ya that this brush is very very the different than what we have in Malaysia. All I know is the one that they have is the Olay Regenerist Cleansing Device, which is the 2-speed cleansing device but the one that I owned is the 3-speed cleansing device. It is the so called "new & improved" device actually. I don't know why Malaysia only has the 2-speed ones but whatever. LOL.

Okay I have never use the 2-speed device but the 3-speed device is so damn good. It is a bit more expensive than the ones that we have in Malaysia. I got it from the Supermodel2U for RM188. I was lucky I got that price because I just checked the website and the price is RM209. Huhuhuhu. (sorry guys). But you know what? This thing, worth every penny. I can feel that my skin complexion got much better as it is can deeply cleanse your skin and stuff you know, good stuff.

So in this cleansing kit, contains a microdermabrasion foam head, cleansing brush head, Thermal Crystal polisher, Exfoliating Renewal cleanser, 2 AA batteries and of course the facial cleansing device. If I'm not mistaken, it could be an anti-ageing device because it massages the skin and whatnot. Idk. LOL. So for the microdermabrasion one, I rarely use them oh well that's because the instruction mentioned that you kinda have to use them for like twice a week (aint nobody got time for that). Because when you apply that Thermal Crystal polisher thing, it warms up and I don't know, I feel like it is a bit irritating for my skin as I have sensitive skin. So I only used them for like 3-4 times, I rarely use it. For the other cleanser which is the Exfoliating Renewal cleanser, oh my god I'm sorry to say this but this scrub sucks. Then again maybe it's because I have sensitive skin so everytime I use this fella, my zits are popping out like freaking popcorns in a microwave. So I stopped using it after few times.

Well the main reason I bought this cleansing kit is because I really wanted a cleansing device. I hate to buy more delicate exfoliator as I mentioned in my post here: Review: St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub. I really love my The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator but as I have mentioned a lot of times, that thing cost a fortune. I don't really have to use anymore scrubs/exfoliators because I already using this cleansing device so technically I exfoliate everyday and so far my skin hasn't had bad breakouts or drying out. So that's good right? Lol. But sometimes I do sometimes take a break from it like a few days because the bristles are a bit harsh for my skin. Of course I have no issue with it as I don't have any breakouts so yeah. LOL

I usually use this with delicate cleanser, I'm currently using the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser & of course I am still using Himalaya Neem Face Wash because that's good stuff yall. The Cetaphil one is really really gentle so it didn't have much foam in it, and it is a bit creamy so any makeup on your face can disappear whooshhh. But of course lah I use makeup cleanser before using that brush. If you use your brush without cleaning your foundation and stuff, you will see your brush will get really dirty. but no worries if you clean the brush it will go away but you should really wipe off your makeup first! Lol. The Himalaya one got green foam hahaha because it is green color... LOL. But I'm okay with both. Both really clean up my face really good. After using it, oh my goodness my skin feels so soft and smooth. (I won't do a demo here, you can actually google them :P)

Pros: Deep-cleanse skin really well, pores don't appear like potholes on my face, save a lot of money on exfoliators (haha), your skin doesn't feel like crap, you don't feel like crap because your skin complexion is very nice and you feel kinda relaxed when you cleanse your face with it. Macam spa gitu.

Cons: Bristles are not that gentle but not so harsh, exfoliating products that came with the kit sucks balls.

If you guys are planning to buy a not so expensive cleansing device, I highly recommend this Olay ProXMicrodermabrasion Plus Advanced / Regenerist Cleansing System. I have never tried the Clarisonic or the Foreo Luna because they're so freaking expensive. Like buying a new camera/phone/gadget or something. Might as well buy a freaking bluetooth speaker. I'm not saying they're not good, but oh lord it's just so freaking expensive. But you can choose brush heads for Clarisonic so that's a plus.... And if you are okay with the 2-speed device, go buy at the nearest pharmacy... I think it costs less than RM120, including the Regenerist cleanser thing. Idk. Lol.

I hope you guys find this quite helpful for your quest to look for good and cheap cleansing device. Trust me, once you have used this fella, ahh I bet you won't even look at your fingers anymore. They're not the same. LOL.
