Review: Mac Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation

Assalamualaikum and hello my loveliessssss <3

So I purchased the new waterproof foundation from Mac because I need one. LOL. Well it's not that new pon. Almost a year dah. LOL. Whatever. Still new. Ok. I've read few good reviews and some people even said it is better than the Estee Lauder Double Wear. I really wanted that Estee Lauder Double Wear and I got the free sample but I just... I don't know. Maybe I didn't use it enough to like it. Need to try once more but I already bought this... So yeah... Whatever. LOL.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A tenacious waterproof formula that can be used as a foundation or concealer, wearing for an unprecedented 16 hours. Neither rain nor tears can budge this oil-free watertight product that actually repels moisture from the surface of the face. The formula blends seamlessly on the skin with medium to full weightless coverage and a natural satin finish.

Apply directly to face or body. Blend with finger, sponge or appropriate foundation or concealer brush.

REVIEW

I decided not to do first impression/review because I bought it on Sunday. If I bought it on Saturday, I could do it on Sunday ya know. But since it's that time of the month, I decided to wear it to the office for 5 days straight. I did share a few thoughts on Twitter but hey maybe if guys are lazy to scroll down, I'm just gonna write it here okay? Okay? We're good? I know we're good. <3

Oh this gon be long. Go make something in the kitchen or grab some fricking popcorn eh wait popcorn is bad for you, grab a frickin apple or some fruits maybe some fricking baby carrots with some fricking celery. That's healthy

Okay let's talk about packaging, consistency etc. The packaging is VERY travel friendly as it is quite compact for a foundation, especially from MAC. LOL. Usually their bottles are like bulky. Like I've mentioned in my instagram post, this foundation only has 25ml of product where as the standard amount is 30ml (1oz). But I have the Mac Matchmaster foundation and they're 35ml, so I decided not to be bothered by the fact that this foundation has less product. LOL. Same same no different leh.

I only have Mac Matchmaster foundation to compare with this foundation. I don't own other foundations from Mac. I think almost everyone has used the Mac Studio Fix Fluid but I never ever tried it before. Again, I feel it's a bit pricey... It's 164 bucks, FYI. I don't buy high end foundations but I really need a good waterproof foundation to use on my wedding reception (groom's side). I think I want to do my own makeup that day, I know how to makeup LOL.

Okay, out of topic. Anyways, the consistency is not thick and not runny. Mac Matchmaster is quite thick, so I think it's in the middle? LOL. Almost has the same consistency as the Bourjois Air Mat but that one also a little bit thicker, just a tad bit. And I think you guys know how Mac foundations smells like? Yep. Fricking paint. Paint! It's quite strong to be honest, but it does not linger so that's good. LOL.

Oh I'm in the shade NC25. It's a lil bit lighter than my actual skintone but when I blend it in, it looks okay... But whatever it is, please consult with Mac's Beauty Advisor. :)

First impression: Easy to apply with beauty sponge (I use Beauty Blender, never tried it with a brush). After I apply it to my whole face, I can still see some redness peeking through. I'd say it's a medium to full coverage foundation. And it kinda look dewy but not like bad dewy like a glowy dewy? WTF Pah LOL. It did said that it is a natural satin finish and I agree, it is. Description also mentioned weightless, my answer is heck yeah. It feels pretty light on my face. Like I'm not wearing any foundation BUT, it feels a bit tacky. So I set em with powder but the tackiness is still there. Almost feels like Bourjoir Air Mat, without the tackiness as the Air Mat is a matte foundation.

I am only going to share 1 full day using the foundation. Day 2-5 I will just write it briefly okay?

Day 1

I didn't take a selfie in the morning because I was rushing so yeah. I secretly took a selfie at the office with the front camera and as you can see my nostrils are very attractive here

Day 1: I used Nivea Men Post Shave Balm and Benefit Porefessional underneath. I don't change my skincare routine in the morning, I use Nutox Astringent Toner, Bio-Essence Gold Water, The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream & The Body Shop Tea Tree Clearing Lotion. I only apply 1 layer of this foundation, I use Mac Pro Longwear Concealer to conceal my dark circles and other stuff that needed to conceal. LOL. And I set everything with powder. Looks good, but tacky.

After 2 hours, I didn't see any signs of oil breaking out which is fricking awesome. Usually after 2 hours, my face will get oily a bit on the nose... Biasalah.

4 hours, I still didn't see any signs of oil breaking out. Just a bit oily on the nose but like really small fricking amount. Half an hour later, I blotted using tissue and no foundation transferred. Only my nose contour. LOL.

7 hours and a half, still looked fricking on point. I blotted with tissue 3 hours ago and I didn't feel the need to blot again. No oil breaking out. Fricking awesome.

After 8 hours and 45 minutes, I blotted my face with powder because I wanna see how long it can last without breaking the foundation.

Final check in. After 11 hours and a half, I still look good. Like oily good. Not disgusting oily grease ball. Foundation has faded around my nose and chin area because I wiped my mouth quite aggressively LOL. I am loving this foundation. Oil-free? Checked. 16 hour wear? Even almost 12 hours it looked pretty fricking awesome. Foundation didn't break out at the end of the day.

Day 2

Day 2: I used Nivea Men Post Shave Balm and Bourjois Smoothing Primer underneath. Today, I forgot to apply the eye cream. I apply 1 layer and I use it for concealing my undereyes and around my nose area. I have set my undereyes but I can see it has creased a bit but it's not that obvious. Maybe it's because I didn't apply the eye cream or maybe the consistency is thicker than your normal concealers? I don't know. Or maybe I applied it too much. After 11 hours, my foundation didn't look so good. I think it was the primer, didn't hold up the foundation really well. Even though you can see that it's actually breaking down but it still looked okay. But oily. Oilier than Day 1. LOL.

Day 3

It was lunchtime and pretty hot outside but of course my face still on fricking point.

Day 3: I used Nivea Men Post Shave Balm and L'Oreal Base Magique underneath. I use my Mac Pro Longwear Concealer today and after setting my foundation with loose powder, I finished the rest of my face and I use the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to set them all. It feels less tacky than Day 2. I don't know why. It's super weird. I blotted my face with powder at 2.45pm. After 11 hours, my face still looked pretty good, it's actually better than Day 2. I must say, I am in love with the UD All Nighter Setting Spray.

Day 4

Unblended concealer on my right jaw... Yeah you can see it here LOL

Day 4: I used Benefit Porefessional underneath and set my face with UD All Nighter setting spray. I'm like so ancient, I actually forgot to blend in my concealer on my right cheek... WTF Pah... HIKJDoIHDKLJAJKKJAS So yeah. I blotted my face at 11 something and my foundation became patchy. I figured out why, it's because I put concealer on top of my nose. Like if I put concealer on my nose, I don't know why but it will go patchy on me. That sucks. So yeah this day 4 was totally mehh for me.

Day 5

You guys can actually see the "unblended" concealer on my chin on the left pic LOL

Day 5: I used Nivea Men Post Shave Balm and Benefit Porefessional underneath and set my face with the UD All Nighter Spray again. I need to make my makeup last longer that day because I have team lunch. I wanna look on freaking point. LOL. But yeah, still freaking ancient. I forgot to blend concealer on my chin pulak this time........................ Good Lord. Other than that, my face still look on point at the end of the day even though I look oily... Still pretty good. LOL

Pros: Not too matte but also not too dewy, weightless, buildable

Cons: Feels a bit tacky on the skin even though you have set it with powder

Final thoughts: I am so happy that I made the decision to buy this foundation. It is fricking pricey but totally worth the money. I think it lasted longer than my other foundations. I have oily skin, no matter what foundation I used, I won't ever look on point but with this Mac Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation, I just, I mean I can't say more nice things. It's just so damn good. For oily skin girls, I HIGHLY recommend this foundation. Of course for normal and dry skin girls can try it too! It's not matte at all. I love it. I REALLY LOVE IT. Totally gonna be in my HOLY GRAIL list. HOHOHOH.

Rating: ★★★★★

I hope you guys find this helpful. I am so sorry if it's too long. I just wanna go deeper with it since it's pricier than any other foundations that I have. LOL.

Thank you for reading! XOXO <3
